In My Mind, Blogs For Bands: Week 2

The Parlor Mob

The Parlor Mob is a rock band founded in New Jersey in 2004. The band started as What About Frank?, and in 2006 they changed their name to what they are currently. As you might have noticed if you watched the video, they are heavily influenced by legendary rock band Led Zeppelin. The band only has one album out, and are currently working on their second which is expected to be out in sometime within the next couple of months. And You Were A Crow, was their debut album, which for those who heard it, was a complete masterpeice of modern rock, and a sound that many bands lack today. I strongly encourage you to look into these guys, and check out their first album, as well as their new one coming out soon.
Adam and the Ants

Adam and the Ants, a British rock band, formed in London, England who were active during the late 70's, and the early 80's. They were one of the bands to make the change of 70's punk style, to 80's new wave. They were extremely popular at the time, noted for many things. Including their unique creativeness, along with their lyrics, and extreme fashion sense. After three major albums, the band separated in 1982 for Adam Ant to launch a solo career. After one album, he turned to an acting career, then back to music. Personally I advise listening to both Adam and the Ants, and his solo career, Adam Ant.
